Dear Mom:

Since my last letter I left England and I'm now in France. I'm in the fighting now but don't worry, I'm alright so far and it's not too bad. I sure was sorry to leave England though.

There's a rumor that we may go behind the lines for a rest and I'll be able to write more. Right now I have to watch out for certain things and be on the alert.

That's all I have to say right now. I just thought I'd let you know where I was because I haven't written for a while. Take it easy.
