A V-MAIL letter follows from Anna and Herman Wolf, close friends of Frank Pranger, Art's Dad. Back in the 1920s, Frank boarded with them when he left home. They lived in South Newport, high above the city, overlooking the Andrews Steel plant on the Licking River.

This piece of mail was the one and only V-MAIL FROM home.

Dear Arthur:

Just a few lines to let you know that we are thinking of you and sure hope that this finds you safe and well. We sure are having a winter here. Ice and snow all the time. Art did you get our Christmas box. I sure hope so. Herman said to tell you hello and hope that you get home soon. Art if there is anything that you would like to have be sure and write and let me know.

Love
Herman & Anna
