I am looking for information on my Grandfather, Leroy Uncle. He was a Marine and died during battle on Iwo Jima.
He died before ever getting the chance to meet, face to face, his seven month old baby girl, my mother.
Speaking of my mother, in December 2000, she passed away. Just recently, my father was sorting through some of her things and came across all of my grandfather's war medals, pins and even the wallet that was found on his body! My father gave me these items and even since.....I have been trying to locate anyone who may have fought with or knew my grandfather!
